MAI CHAU IN 2 DAYS

Situated approximately 150 km northwest of Hanoi, Mai Chau Valley is surrounded by spectacular mountains, green rice fields, and traditional villages. Mai Chau is home to the Thai ethnic minority, whose communities live in remarkable traditional wooden stilt houses.
Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau
The scenic drive from Hanoi to Mai Chau takes approximately three hours. Along the way, travel through the countryside, passing fields of cassava and sugar cane as well as extensive rice paddies. The changing landscape provides a pleasant introduction to the mountains and rural areas of northern Vietnam.
After lunch in Lac Village, spend the afternoon walking through several nearby ethnic minority villages, enjoying the peaceful valley scenery and learning about the traditional lifestyle of the local Thai communities.
In the evening, stay overnight with a local Thai family in a traditional house built on stilts. This homestay provides a wonderful opportunity to experience local hospitality and learn more about the family’s daily life, customs, and culture. In the evening, enjoy traditional Thai folk songs and music before spending the night at the homestay.
Day 2: Mai Chau – Xa Linh Village – Hanoi
After breakfast, drive for approximately one hour to Xa Linh Village, home to the H’Mong ethnic minority. Explore the area on foot, following gravel tracks and local paths used by the villagers and enjoying the surrounding mountain scenery.
Return to Mai Chau around midday for lunch before beginning the journey back to Hanoi. The trip ends at approximately 17:00.
CUC PHUONG NATIONAL PARK

Cuc Phuong National Park is one of the largest and most important national parks in Vietnam. Established in 1962, the park protects an ancient tropical rainforest together with many rare plants and endangered animal species. This 2-day Cuc Phuong tour combines wildlife, rainforest trekking, caves, and peaceful rural scenery.
Day 1: Hanoi – Cuc Phuong National Park
Cuc Phuong National Park is an excellent destination for travelers interested in Vietnam nature tours, wildlife, and trekking. The park’s ancient forest and diverse ecosystem make it one of northern Vietnam’s most rewarding natural attractions.
Morning
- 07:00. Depart from your hotel by car or bus and drive for approximately two hours to Cuc Phuong National Park.
- Visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre and listen to biologists explaining the rare and endangered primate species found in Vietnam and around the world.
- Continue to the Botanical Garden and animal conservation areas before driving deeper into the central part of the national park.
- Check in at your bungalow and enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the peaceful forest environment.
Afternoon
- Begin a trek through the ancient rainforest to the Thousand-Year-Old Tree, considered one of the oldest and largest trees in Cuc Phuong National Park. Stop along the trail to appreciate the spectacular forest scenery.
- Continue along a circular trekking route through the mountain forest toward the bungalow. Enjoy some free time to relax before dinner and your overnight stay in Cuc Phuong.
Day 2: Cuc Phuong – Kenh Ga – Tam Coc – Hanoi
Kenh Ga, meaning “Chicken Canal Village”, is a peaceful floating community on the Hoang Long River, surrounded by dramatic limestone mountains and rice fields. The area offers an interesting glimpse into traditional rural life along the waterways of northern Vietnam.
Morning
- After breakfast, drive out of Cuc Phuong National Park toward Kenh Ga Floating Village.
- Take a scenic boat trip along the river to observe the daily life of local farmers. See floating fish-breeding cages, farmers harvesting river grass to feed their fish, and people trawling the muddy shallows for shellfish.
- During the boat trip, there may also be an opportunity to visit the local hot springs and enjoy a traditional therapeutic mineral bath.
Afternoon
- After the boat trip around Kenh Ga, continue by road toward Tam Coc, traveling through quiet rural villages and countryside.
- Have lunch in Tam Coc.
- After lunch, take an approximately three-hour round-trip boat journey through the spectacular Tam Coc landscape. Cruise along the river and pass through three long tunnel grottoes surrounded by green rice fields and towering limestone mountains, earning the area its nickname of “Halong Bay on land.”
- Continue to Bich Dong Pagoda, also known as Jade Cave, and visit its three historic pagodas – the Lower, Middle, and Upper Pagodas – built into the limestone mountainside. Enjoy the spectacular scenery before continuing the journey.
- 16:00. Depart for Hanoi and end this interesting two-day excursion.
MEKONG DELTA
(2 days, 1 night)

Day 1: Saigon – Can Tho
08:00. Pick-up at your hotel in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) and begin the journey into the Mekong Delta. Stop at My Hiep and take an approximately three-hour boat trip through the Rung Tram Forest, an extensive wetland forest that was used as a base by Vietnamese revolutionary forces during the war.
Cruise through quiet canals surrounded by aquatic plants, tall trees, vines, and lush vegetation. The peaceful waterways offer an interesting contrast to the busy streets of Ho Chi Minh City and provide an authentic glimpse into the natural environment of the Mekong Delta.
After the boat trip, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before visiting Sa Dec Flower Village, famous for its flower nurseries and colorful gardens. Continue the journey through Vinh Long before arriving in Can Tho.
Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and spend the night at your hotel in Can Tho, the largest city in the Mekong Delta.
Day 2: Can Tho – Saigon
After breakfast, take a boat trip to explore the famous Cai Rang Floating Market, one of the most popular attractions in the Mekong Delta. Continue to visit a traditional vermicelli-making workshop and a local rice-husking mill, providing insight into the everyday industries and livelihoods of people living along the Mekong waterways.
Have lunch at a garden restaurant before taking another approximately two-and-a-half-hour Mekong River boat trip. Cruise through peaceful waterways and enjoy the tranquil scenery and traditional rural life of southern Vietnam.
Continue by road back to Ho Chi Minh City, where the tour ends.
MEKONG DELTA – LONGER DRIVE

Day 1: Saigon – Can Tho – Soc Trang
Depart from Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) and travel toward the Mekong Delta. Stop for breakfast at Trung Luong Crossroad before continuing to Dong Tam Snack Farm for a visit.
Continue to Can Tho, check in at the hotel, and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, transfer by coach toward Soc Trang, a fascinating destination known for its distinctive Khmer Buddhist heritage. Visit the Bat Pagoda, Kh’Leang Pagoda, and Oat Set Pagoda, each offering an interesting insight into the region’s multicultural history and architecture.
Return to Can Tho for dinner and enjoy free time in the evening. Overnight at the hotel in Can Tho.
Day 2: Can Tho – Saigon
Breakfast at the hotel. Take a morning boat trip along the Hau River and visit the lively Cai Rang and Phong Dien Floating Markets, where local traders sell fresh produce and other goods directly from their boats.
Continue to My Khanh Tourist Garden for lunch and some time to enjoy the peaceful garden surroundings. In the afternoon, begin the journey back to Ho Chi Minh City.
