Our office is right in the heart of the Old Quarter of Hanoi. This is where most tourists to Vietnam stay because it’s the most typical of Hanoi, everything is so easy to find from street food, accommodation to nightlife, etc. Our shop is not on a busy street, but in the alleyway which is easy to find. Just locate us on Google Maps and kick-start your lifetime adventures on two wheels!
Hello
We will be arriving In Hanoi on 10/02/23 We would like to rent x2 250cc bikes for guided tour.
Dear Dominik. How long do you need the bikes for as this month is really busy and many dates are booked up.
Please contact me on WhatsApp: 44 7379 059887. I would love to talk with you guys :)
Hello Yair. We just sent you a message via WhatsApp. Just check and let us know how we can help. Thanks.
looking to buy an automatic 50 cc bike ASAP ( failed the driving test and worried about insurance ) – want it strong enough for 2 people ( expat ) – do you have anything ?
Hello Stephanie. We have some 50cc but if you are two people on one like it would be a lie to say it’s strong enough or comfortable. It’s a small little bike and just one person is good. If you feel good we can send some picture.
Hello, I am interested to import a bike, can you tell me which off-roads (used) bikes available with you…I would prefer 250cc.
Dear Amin. You can only import a bike if you have a business vÃa and a work contract in Vietnam. However, the process is super complicated and costs even more than your bike to import just a single bike. If you want to buy a bike, please see here.
Hello,
Do you consider that a Honda CGL125 will manage well for touring Vietnam for about 2 months, with 2 people plus backpacks, total weight 190 kilos (people and baggage)?
Regards.
Martin.
Dear Martin. In theory, you can’t load that much but in reality, with our customization, you can. However, it’s not really safe, comfortable or enjoyable to ride like that. If you can bear with the little inconvenience and relax often then just do it.
Greetings I would like to do a 5 Day Northern Vietnam tour with your company in early, to mid-November. Can you please let me know if you have any tour available in & around that time?
If you do, can you please advise me on what the costs date would be?
It will be just myself taking the tour.
I have extensive motorcycle riding experience, both in Australia & overseas.
Regards,
Charles Sales.
Dear Charles,
Offroad Vietnam is based in Hanoi. We use only near new Honda CGL125, Honda XR150L, and Honda CRF250L dual enduro. They were made by Japanese Honda company, not the Chinese copies. We don’t use other brands due to part availability and reliability.
You will see the best of Vietnam, not like the norm as we ride where very few people travel. We focus on safety, comfort, quality of services and customers’ experience and satisfaction. We don’t offer cheap backpacker standards or lower quality of services in exchange for a discounted price. We don’t just sell you an adventure but a journey of your lifetime.
Our tours offer a mix of roads (sealed, gravel, dirt roads), hill tribe people interaction, culture and customs, not just riding. When we mean “off road” it could be any road that is less travelled, either sealed or unsealed. To have more ideas of our motorbike tours in Vietnam please check our YouTube channel.
Most of our tours are private and only some are open to more riders. Updates are posted here. There is no tour you could join for your dates but it’s possible to start a new trip and we advertise to get more riders if possible.
For the cost, please follow this link. The prices depend on the bike you ride and if more people join you pay less. To start with you can look at a group of one rider which starts from 189$US/day. Bike upgrade is available.
Hi there, yes we interested in the tour, we had made some changes because of our schedules. We are flying from Mexico (November the 9th) arriving in Hanoi Vietnam (Saturday 10th at 11:30). We would like to rest and to get around Hanoi on Sunday 11th. We would like to start the tour Monday the 12th and finish it at Saigon, Ho Chi Minh Thursday 22 because we would like to get around Saigon Friday the 23, and fly back to Hanoi on Saturday the 24th in the morning because we would like to get back early so we could go to Halong Bay if possible. We fly back home Sunday the 25th at 8:30 in the morning.
– We would like to use all-terrain 250cc
– We are three experienced motor riders
– Are we going to be in a tour with other people?
– Are we going to have our own guide?
– Could you please tell us the final cost for the three of us?
– In our schedule do you think you could help us doing also Halong Bay,
Thanks,
Julio Cesar.
Dear Julio. Please check your email for a detailed reply. Thanks.
Dear Sir,
Referring to “However, the good news is IDP (international driving permit, 1968 Convention and not the 1949 Convention) is now valid in Vietnam from August 1st, 2016 with the 46/2016/ND-CP decree. You can purchase an insurance policy easily when you have a 1968 IDP. If you have 1968 Convention IDP, please also bring your home country driving license with motorbike endorsement.”
1) Do you sell the above insurance policy and what it covers (e.g. own injuries and your rental bike, third party’s injuries and property damages?)? How much does it cost? How long does it take to get the insurance in effective?
2) Is it possible for walk in rental?
3) What document and deposit you need for a Honda XR-150 for 2 weeks north-eastern route?
4) What is the rental rate? Do you have weekly rate?
5) If we buy insurance to cover your bike, will it reduce the deposit we need to submit to you?
Thanks,
Kirk.
Dear Kirk,
Sorry. we don’t sell insurance but it’s very easy if you have the 1968 Convention IDP. In Vietnam, you can buy from the local BaoViet company or any international company online.
To make sure you have bikes when you come, we would like to have bikes booked and paid for before they are not available. If you wait until you arrive in Hanoi then there is no guarantee that the bikes you want are available. We will send instructions if you agree to proceed. You can pay with credit cards online, Western Union cash transfer or even a traditional bank transfer.
The rental cost for 2 weeks, collecting and returning in Hanoi is 20$US/day for Honda XR150 year 2017 (280$US for 2 weeks).
Dear Anh Wu,
Please advise on deposit on question 3 and 5. Thanks.
3) What document and deposit you need for rental a Honda XR-150 for 2 weeks north-eastern route?
5) If we buy insurance to cover your bike, will it reduce the deposit we need to submit to you?
6) Is there a local BaoViet office near your place that we can visit and buy insurance in person instead of online?
3. We don’t keep your passport as security deposit but need ID cards or country driving licenses.
5. The deposit is papers, not cash so it doesn’t make any difference.
6. Yes, you can purchase a policy in their head office at 35 Hai Ba Trung street, close to our office. However, they only sell you a policy that covers motorbike riding if you have a 1968 Convention (printed right on the first page). If you purchase a normal policy they still cover you, just not the motorbiking part.
Hi. I am interested in doing a 4-day 3-night tour on scooters, exploring the Chiang Mai area, in June can you give me an idea of costs? 2 adults 2 bikes.
Thanks,
Kerrilee.
Dear Kerilee. Sorry, we don’t operate in Thailand but you can contact our partner there and get a quotation. Good luck.
Hi, I am interested in doing the motorbike riding lesson in Hanoi tomorrow (the 24th January 2017) if it is possible/if there is availability? Thanks
Dear Alice. As we mentioned on our website, this lesson is only available if you rent a scooter from us and commute in Hanoi (as an expat) or join our trip. It’s not available as a stand-alone service. What’s your plan?
Hi there,
Hope you are doing well. I am an experienced rider of a BMWF800GS in Spain with numerous trips in Europe, Marocco over the last 12 years.
My girlfriend and I have been biking from Hue to Hoi An last week, exploring HCM City and fly back to Hanoi Nov 13th. We just heard about your great service and got excited about renting a bike for the 2 of us, sadly she doesn’t feel so confident to ride her own in this traffic…xd.
Rental: 14-16/11
Motorbike: best suited for 2 pax
Route idea: East of Hanoi, open to any idea you might have.
Question: Is it an option to ride to Ha Long/Cat Ba/ Lan ha bay by bike, and is it worth it?
I know this is a bit last minute, but we thought it was worth it to ask.
We are happy to go and visit you in your office on the 14th in the am.
Thanks so much in advance.
Gonzalo y Carmen.

Thank you.
Hello Roger. Please check email for a detailed reply.
Hi, what is the possibility to do a 1-day dirt bike session on Dec 27th near Hanoi?
You can book a private tour. Currently, sadly we have no tour you can join. If you are just one person, the all inclusive price is 160$US/day.
Hello, I am starting to look into a tour of riding the HCM Trail, or part of it in Vietnam with two other friends. I received your info and have yet to explore your web sight but wanted to say hello and invite you to start telling me more about riding in Vietnam, what is the best time of year, do you only have Japaness bikes if so what sizes? I am sure this information and more is likely on your sight but I did want to drop a note to say hello and start talking.
Thanks
Hello David. Please check your email for a detailed reply. It’s simply too long to post on this page. Thank you.
I am looking to buy:
Head light + aluminium frame (XR250 Baja Dual): 150$US, do you have one, and do you post to Queensland Australia/
Hello Andrew. Unfortunately, we don’t sell parts. Parts are only for our customers who hire bikes. In addition, we don’t ship anywhere and if available the dual lights with frame should cost over 300$US to ship to your place. Good luck!
Hello,
We would like to know if it is possible to do a Zipline tour through Saigon on May 2nd or May 6th and what does this include? How long will it take and what are the prices?
Thank you very much
Yours sincerely,
Isabelle Loonen & Janine Liolios
Dear Isabelle Loonen & Janine Liolios. We are based in Hanoi, Northern Vietnam and unfortunately don’t offer any tour from Saigon (HCMC). You can follow this link and check with Jason Thatcher and see what they can offer. Good luck.
I am interested to purchase your used Vietnam make in 2010 Honda Wave 110cc. Only to be collected after 23 Jan, can I view the said bike on 22jan.
Regards
Eric
Hello Eric. This scooter is fully automatic and is not available until the 23rd. Sadly, you can’t view it on the 22nd. Will it be ok on the 23rd or after?
Do you offer/recommend tours in May/June? We would like to see Vietnam, Cambodia, and maybe Laos. It would be one bike with 2 people. We would also like to see Ha Long Bay if possible.
Thanks!
