Tempo of the tour and the stop-over

Very well timed – good days ride without pushing it too far.

Bikes and equipment

XL125 very reliable (4 flat tyres!) but the motor was good.

Accommodation

Very good. Hotels were clean and comfortable, home stays were charming. I would give Muong Lay a miss (very dusty).

Food

Very tasty and plenty of it.

Guide and organisation

Our guide was excellent!! informative, friendly and knows his bikes AND the roads!

The price

Very reasonable – about 100$US per day for bike, accommodation, food, mechanical repairs and guidance. This is good value.
