Tempo of the tour and the stop-over

Perfect.

Bikes and equipment

The Honda 160cc engine was good, but the tires were not so grippy as the other trail bikes in the mud and rough. Maybe a heavier tread tyre would be better.

Accommodation

All the home stays were excellent. Of the hotels – Sapa was good, the one before Sapa was ok, but a bit “soulless” and the Trade Union Hotel in Son La was fine if a bit “tatty”. I didn’t like the Royal Hotel in Phu Yen – room too small and stuffy.

Food

No complaints – excellent.

Guide and organisation

The guide was excellent – very professional and good company.
