This is the kind of thing you have to do once. I might do it once a year.

Tempo of the tour and the stop-over

The tempo was just about perfect, with plenty of stops for water, photos, etc.

Bikes and equipment

The 250s are fantastic, suitable for every terrain we encountered, and apart from the occasional puncture, ran like a dream. I miss it already even though we only finished the trip yesterday.

Accommodation

Some very good, some not so good, but if you are doing a trip like this you won’t be expecting 5-star hotels every night.

Food

Generally very good, if a little repetitive. I am considering not eating rice for a while, but I am going to learn how to make wine with it, that stuff is great.
