Tempo of the tour and the stop-over

A good mix of long driving days (to get out of the city) and shorter days (to enjoy the surroundings).

Bikes and equipment

The bike was in good condition and when things did go wrong (puncture, clutch cable) Chi was quickly able to fix it.

Accommodation

The hotels were very nice (maybe too nice when we were covered in mud). The homestays were very welcoming with lovely hosts. The National Park homestay had beautiful views.

Food

Excellent variety, copious amounts. Chi was an expert on rice wine.

Guide and organisation

Brilliant, amazing. Chi is a hero. I have been travelling for nearly a year and have done many organized trips and Chi is the best guide so far. He was friendly and full of information, always came to us to ask our opinion. Give him a pay rise.
