Maybe go to Bac Ha for the market but I wouldn’t bother staying there.

Tempo of the tour and the stop-over

Good pace, the short day in the middle was good for the recovery of sore parts (backside).

Bikes and equipment

The motocross-style bike (Honda XL 125cc) was great. Going up a hill was a little slow though.

Accommodation

Hotels generally ok. The night in Bac Ha was a bit rough. But then the whole town was very dusty. The homestay was great.

Food

The amount of food was great, but in the first couple of days, it got a bit repetitive (beef and tofu were good but the pumpkin flower and greens weren’t very good).

Guide and organisation

Ngoc and Quynh were both great guides. Ngoc was also great with the motorcycles. I was really impressed with his ability to fix stuff on the go.

The price for what we got was great.
