Moped Scooter Tours In Northern Thailand: 4 days

3 days of superb sightseeing in the North West of Thailand. Step aboard your Honda Scooter and ride with us over the sub-Himalayas. Enjoy magnificent scenery riding around this famous region.

This tour starts and ends in Pai town on the border of Burma. The ride includes riding to hill tribe villages, army border controls, and staying in unique accommodation within the region including our own motorcycle lodge 1,000 meters above sea level in a Lisu hill-tribe village. Glorious waterfalls for bathing and cool mountain air. This mini-tour encompasses the best of the best in the region yet avoids the main crowds and tourist traps.

Providing your riding ability will allow us to trek off-road to hill-tribe villages deep within the jungles and mountains of Burma. If you prefer to stay on the hard roads we will take you 2,000 meters above sea level to Chinese border villages to sample Yunnan-style food, wine, and specialty tea and coffee from homegrown coffee plants.

A trip to a Royal village where we swim in a glorious blue lake in surroundings more similar to Switzerland than Thailand.

The tour is 4 days 3 nights and includes a scooter, insurance, guide, and accommodation.

Moped Scooter Tours In Northern Thailand: 6 days

We start in Chiang Mai city for a perfect scooter trip around the Mae Hong Son Loop, hill tribes, mountains, waterfalls, unique culture, great food, and nightlife typical of this mountainous region.

From Chiang Mai, we travel 130 kilometers on Day 1 to the famous mountain town of Pai nestled on a plateau surrounded by mountains. Spend one night in restaurants and bars or blues bars of your choice before we head farther toward the Burmese border.

In total, we will cover around 500 kilometres but this depends entirely on your riding ability and speed. It’s not a race, we will have time for photographs, elephant trekking, or anything else you may wish to do.

The hill tribes of the Lisu, Lahu, and Karen will feature high on our itinerary including a stay 1,000 meters above sea level in our own motorcycle lodge nestled within a small Lisu hill-tribe village overlooking the mountain peaks across to Burma.

You will not be disappointed! Our tours really do take you to the regions where tourists rarely visit. “We do not follow tourist maps”! Pai town is our first scheduled stop but this town although picturesque and with a style all its own has recently become a massive tourist town with western-style bars and restaurants which we know many people don’t wish to see in the hill-tribe mountain region. However, Pai does offer a great first stop before heading out to the less-tourist region. We always give you the choice of where to stay and we can easily alter the first stop to a more unique region.

After Pai town, we break away from the main part of the ‘Mae Hong Son Loop’ following routes we use on our big bike tour. The accommodation is always one of the highlights of all Motorbike Thailand’s tours; hill tribe lodges, wooden bungalow huts beside lakes and in the forest, and no western tourists!
