SYM Elegant & Galaxy 50cc semi-automatic motorbike has been available for rent in Hanoi since early 2019.

50cc semi-automatic motorbikes are quite rare in Hanoi. New 50cc models are often more expensive than 100/110cc versions because no license is required to ride them. They are mainly used by students, riders under 18, riders without a license or with licenses not recognized in Vietnam, and older people.

About the SYM Elegant & Galaxy 50cc Semi-Automatic Motorbike for Rent

This SYM Elegant or Galaxy 50cc semi-automatic motorbike is not suitable for riding two-up due to its low power, small seat, and basic suspension. It is best ridden solo. If you need to carry a passenger, consider a larger 110cc bike.
We have only one office in Hanoi and do not offer rentals outside Hanoi or one-way rentals. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend other rental companies as we are not familiar with their bikes or service quality.

About the KYMCO K-Pipe 50cc Semi-Automatic Motorbike for Rent

This KYMCO K-Pipe 50cc semi-automatic motorbike is best suited for solo riding due to its low power. However, with its excellent suspension and tubeless tires, it offers one of the most comfortable and authentic motorbike riding experiences in the 50cc class. It is also a well-known model in Europe.
For longer trips, this bike can be upgraded with a 72cc engine kit or a 125cc manual-clutch engine. The 125cc option is available only with advance booking.

About the Wave 50cc Semi-Automatic Motorbike for Rent

Some customers wanted a larger bike than a Cub, and the Wave 50cc is a popular choice. No license is required to ride it. We upgraded the engine to 90cc, giving it nearly 7HP while using widely available Wave parts. If you plan to ride two-up, a 110cc bike is a better option. However, we currently do not offer this Chinese-made Wave due to quality concerns.

2017 – 2021 SYM Elegant & Galaxy

These black 2017-2021 SYM Elegant & Galaxy 50cc semi-automatic scooters have a modern design similar to the Honda Wave. They feature front telescopic forks, 17-inch wheels, and a small storage compartment under the seat. A new bike, including registration and taxes, costs around USD 700. In fact, it is the most expensive 50cc scooter in our rental fleet.

2019 – 2020 Wave

Upgraded 72cc/100cc Engine Kit

The standard 50cc engine is quite weak, so we upgraded it with a 72cc or 100cc Honda Super Cub cylinder, head, and improved clutch. This noticeably increases power, although it still won’t perform like a true 70cc or 100cc motorbike. Even so, it’s a worthwhile upgrade and much better than the original 50cc setup.

The bike remains registered as a 50cc model, so no license is required to ride it.
