Day 1: Hanoi – Vu Linh. ~180 km, ~7 h.

Today is the first day of this exotic NorthCentre 5 days motorbike tour. Before starting to ride, we will have a short briefing to let you know about the rules. In addition, the guide will show you how to understand him by his body language. We start around 9.30am after the rush hour.

Ride to Vu Linh in 8 hours. In general, the road is easy and mostly sealed. Finally, we are welcome to the house of our Dao friends. Honestly, the welcome is exceptional.

Day 2: Vu Linh – Song Thao. ~180 km, ~8 h.

We will cruise on the lake from east to west, until Yen Binh. Then ride from Vu Linh to Song Thao, we will ride through limestone and palm trees, on asphalted road and also dirt roads.

In fact, Song Thao is a very small village lost in the hills on the west bank of Black River. The particular thing is that this is the place where we grow lacquer trees to collect the precious substance called lacquer.

We are welcome in the house of our friends. You meet Kinh (ethnic Vietnamese). Finally, we propose to stay in the house of the two “uncles”, the direct descendant of the ancestor who discovered the property of this tree and the way to use it, about four hundred years ago (quite recently compared to China who knew about lacquer few thousands years ago).

Day 3: Song Thao – Nghia Lo. ~150 km, ~5 h.

In general, today you have an easy ride on sealed roads. Ride through rural areas with beautiful rice fields along the way.

Day 4: Nghia Lo – Mu Cang Chai – Than Uyen. ~140 km, ~5 h.

In general, the road is wild and bumpy. Between Sapa and Hanoi, we will find an important mountainous massif, almost as high as the Fansipan: the Mu Cang Chai. From the top, we have one of the most beautiful views of Northern Vietnam.

Day 5: Than Uyen – Sapa. ~120 km, ~4 h. End of Exotic NorthCentre 5 Days Motorbike Tour.

Walk/stroll in the morning. Then ride direction Sapa. Arrive in Sapa in the afternoon.

After lunch, ride down to Lao Cai for the train to Hanoi at 8 pm. In fact, we should be there around 4pm to buy tickets for bikes.
