Tempo of the tour and the stop-over

The tempo of the tour was just right. Plenty of opportunity for stops and picture taking.

Transportation

Ok for the purpose but could have done with a less smoky engine on one of them. This one desperately needed some new piston rings. Could not ride behind it for fear of suffering from oil smoke inhalation. Also, could do with some better strapping down system for clothes or maybe use waterproof canvas bags.

Accommodation

Good. Homestay at Thai village was the best. The hotel was ok but would prefer all homestay type accommodation if possible.

Food

Very good. Enjoyed the variety of Vietnamese cooking, very tasty. Love Vietnamese cooking and the beer is good too.

The organization – Guide services

The guide was excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable about the area, people and culture. Organization of the tour was excellent. Going with a guide gave us the opportunity to see the real Vietnam.
