Subject: Trip Review-An old one
Hello my name is Cam, I’m from Canada, riding season isn’t very long here so I ride wherever I travel in the winter.
I did a 5 day trip in the north-west in 2011 and it was amazing. The tempo of the trip was good, lots of photo stops and amazing views.
The bike I road was a 160cc Honda, older but rode and handled like a dream, no problems. I would like to be on an XR 250 but they were all out riding already.
Everywhere we stayed was clean, mostly basic, homestays were the best.
Food was great, better than great at the homestays.
My guide Thon spoke great English and was a great guide who became my friend.
I don’t remember the price, but it was not over priced.
I found the place by accident walking around Hanoi during Tet (Lunar New Years holidays) everything was closed for 8 days, so I researched the place and came back when they were open again. I got lucky, there were no tours so I was going to do a solo trip and an Australian couple joined the trip and it was something I will never forget.
I plan on doing a longer trip this January. Cant wait to get back out there.
I want to stress that I did not plan ahead, and Ahn went out of his way to accommodate my needs and I had a great trip.
