We have been providing near new or reliable models of road motorbikes in Hanoi. We rent only genuine Honda products, no other brands or Chinese fakes. Please take these details into account when you decide which bike to hire. Ask about bike model and year of manufacturing don’t just look at prices. In general, our rates are competitive and the quality is among the best.
For the small and light Honda Wave Alpha 100cc, the monthly rate is limited to 1,500km/month and ride in or near Hanoi. On the other hand, the daily rate has no mileage limit and you can ride anywhere you want, usually for beginners or novice riders on long trips outside of Hanoi.
Important
– This Honda Wave Alpha 100cc is not really suitable for riding two up on one bike because of the HP, seat, and luggage added. Ideally, riding solo is the best option. If you have to ride two-up, relax often and don’t ride long every day, especially after dark or on rainy days.
– We have only one office in Hanoi, Northern Vietnam. Therefore, unfortunately, we don’t offer bike hire outside of Hanoi nor one-way rental. Sadly, we have nobody to recommend because we don’t know their bikes or the quality of services.
With improved technical enhancements and a traditional 100cc engine that was developed over 20 years ago, this Honda Wave Alpha is the most popular 100cc ruling Vietnamese road. All bikes were made between 2013 and 2016. Young Vietnamese people prefer this bike to any semi-automatic scooters in Vietnam, it’s a best seller! No shop in Hanoi has or uses newer bikes than ours!
In late 2016, Honda Vietnam upgraded to the 110cc engine version and kept the design. We hope to provide this newer model soon.

HONDA WAVE ALPHA SERIES 100CC. Pickup March 5, 2018 and return March 16. We need three bikes (there are three of us). What other charges are there (insurance, helmets, etc)? thanks, Mark

You need to collect and return in Hanoi only and the cost is 10$US/day/bike.
Insurance on a motorbike trip
The question of having a Vietnamese license actually relates to insurance. There are three types of insurance but you only can get one for yourselves (personal medical insurance), please see more details here. Luckily, many companies can provide a policy without a Vietnamese driving license as mentioned above.
Safety motorbiking gear
It’s best to bring your riding gear for quality and sizes. But if you don’t want to carry, we also hire riding gear for 3$US/person/day and a typical set includes an HJC helmet, gloves, protective clothes or pads as seen here.
To make sure you have bikes when you come, we would like to have bikes booked and paid for before they are not available. If you wait until you arrive in Hanoi then there is no guarantee that the bikes you want are available. We will send instructions if you agree to proceed. You can pay with credit cards online, Western Union cash transfer or even a traditional bank transfer.
We don’t keep your passport as security deposit but need ID cards or country driving licenses.
It’s possible to leave bags you don’t need behind at our office when you ride on your trip, we have spaces for you.
