About Honda Air Blade 125cc
Honda Air Blade 125cc moped scooter was developed for the Southeast Asian market and first introduced in Thailand. The design is a mix of the popular Honda Wave and the convenience of a storage box from a real scooter. In general, this scooter is good for all purposes, very cheap on gas, reliable and parts are not expensive as on the SH or Lead series.
The only inconvenience of this scooter is the floor to put your feet on. It’s not flat as on the traditional automatic step-through scooters. Honda gives you large storage under the seat so they need to install the fuel tank there.
Honda Air Blade history
110cc
The first generation was made in 2007 with a 110cc engine and lasted until 2009 and was always sold at a higher price than Honda Vietnam recommended. That tells how much people liked and wanted to own this scooter. Honda used carburettor for 2007 and 2008 versions and later fuel injection for 2008 and 2009 models. With a lightweight and powerful engine, it easily beat Yamaha Nouvo which was introduced a few years earlier and became the best seller scooter.
The second generation comes with twin halogen headlights and was made between 2010 and 2011. Honestly, this version is not really welcomed by Vietnamese people and therefore Honda needed a new engine.
125cc
Then in 2012, the third generation was introduced with projector headlights and lasted until 2015. Honestly, this generation is probably the best design of the Honda Air Blade 125cc.
From 2016 to 2018, Honda Vietnam used LED lights and a smaller body for the fourth generation. This model is somehow quite similar to the first generation.
150cc
Then in 2019, the fifth generation was made with some small changes. In fact, we didn’t find much difference between the fourth and the fifth generation, except Honda offers both 125 and 150cc engines.
160cc
In early 2022, Honda Vietnam made the sixth generation of the Air Blade with 125cc and 160cc.
Important
– This Honda Air Blade 125cc is not really suitable for riding two up on one bike because of the HP, seat, and luggage added. Ideally, riding solo is the best option. If you have to ride two-up, relax often and don’t ride long every day, especially after dark or on rainy days.
– We are based in Hanoi, Northern Vietnam only, and unfortunately, we don’t offer bike hire outside of Hanoi nor one-way rental. Sadly, we have nobody to recommend because we don’t know their bikes or the quality of services.

Hi, I would like to rent a Honda Air Blade for a month starting as soon as possible. Do you have it available?
Hello Arion. Sadly, we don’t have any fully-automatic scooter available at the moment and we just have semi-automatic scooters which are very easy to ride. Are you interested in hiring this type of bikes.
Hi
I would like to rent an automatic Japanese scooter, maybe the Air Blade. I will be based in Hanoi for 18 months. What would be your best monthly rate for this period of time.
Kind regards
Bob
Hello Bob. If you use this scooter to commute in Hanoi then we can offer 80$US/month and you pay every three months in one row to have this special price. It’s a new model and works great. If you buy one, a new bike is around 2,300$US including taxes and registration.
Hi, may I ask if I can only rent the Honda Air Blade 125cc by monthly rate? I want to visit Vietnam in the end of Dec and plan to goto North mountain by train. I heard that the bike could be shipped by train, may I know the detail? I may only need 3 days for renting. Thanks!
Hello Josh. Scooters were made for city with poor suspension, power and safety. We only rent this scooter for expats who live and work in Hanoi and use it as a commuter. Sadly, we only rent touring bikes (manual clutch) and on daily rate basis.
Hi Anh Wu,
which motorbike you recommend to me?
I am living in Hanoi and want to use a bike in town AND around for some trips.
Which one is the better for me do you think?
Thanks!
Hello Harold. Scooters were made for cities and touring bikes for long distance trips. You can ride scooters out of town but suspension is rather poor and safety is not really what you need. You want to rent or to buy a bike? If you rent, you can choose proper type of bike when you need.
